Which plans include Grok Bot?

Every paid Cursor plan for one person includes it: Pro, Pro+ and Ultra. Cursor Teams includes it too, and a Premium seat can raise the allowance. Cursor's plans cost 20% less a month if you pay for a year. You can also link a SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ plan to a Cursor account. SuperGrok Lite, SuperGrok Team and SuperGrok Enterprise don't include Grok Bot.

On plans for one person, Grok Bot usage is separate from your Grok chats and your Cursor coding. On Teams, it draws from the seat's allowance. Cursor counts it on your Cursor account.

Cursor Pro or SuperGrok?

Pick the plan you would pay for anyway. If you code in Cursor, Cursor Pro at $20 gives you both. If you already pay $30 for SuperGrok to chat with Grok, link that plan. Cursor ranks usage only inside each family and doesn't say which one gives more.

Users on Cursor Pro report both ends. One runs lots of scheduled routines and has never hit the limit. Another says one task can use 10% to 20% of the week. Choose your Cursor account with care before you link SuperGrok, because you can't move the link later.

How do the limits work?

Each plan gets a weekly allowance that resets each week. Cursor counts the steps your bots take and the tokens they use, not the messages you send. It ranks the plans from lowest to highest, as in the table above, but it doesn't publish a number for any of them.

To see how much you have left, open Usage & Billing in the Grok Bot app. The account menu can also show your weekly usage. On the web, check your Cursor dashboard. Grok and X don't show Grok Bot usage.

What uses up the week?

Usage is the top topic on the Grok Bot subreddit. Users say light office work fits the $20 and $30 plans. They say coding, long browser runs and bots that chat with each other can use a whole week in one to three days, even on the $200 and $300 plans.

Cursor's staff say each message one bot sends another counts toward your week. Telling bots to stay quiet is only a hint they can ignore. Their advice is to use one bot with helpers and delete bots you don't use.

How do you make it last?

  • Run routines each hour, not every 15 minutes. Lauren Tan at SpaceXAI points out that a 15-minute routine runs 96 times a day.
  • Use an app connector before the browser. One user's Gmail work cost more than double through the browser.
  • Talk to the bot that does the work, not a chief bot that passes messages along.
  • Let the Primary Bot suggest work. Its suggestions don't count toward your week.

What happens when you run out?

Your bots stop until the week resets. Or you turn on on-demand usage, which Cursor bills by use up to a monthly limit you set. That limit is not a hard stop. A run that is already going can finish past it. There is no separate spending cap for Grok Bot.

Can you add plans together?

No. If you pay for Cursor Pro+ and link SuperGrok Plus, you don't get more Grok Bot usage. Once you link a SuperGrok plan to a Cursor account, you can't unlink it or move it to another one. Pick the account you plan to keep. After a SuperGrok upgrade, the new usage can take up to 24 hours to show.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The trial gives you a usage credit, not a set number of days, though a 7-day window also applies. One long task can use the whole credit, so start with something small.

Has the price changed?

Yes, a lot. When the beta opened on August 11, Grok Bot came only with the top plans, like Cursor Ultra at $200 and SuperGrok Heavy at $300. By late August, Cursor Pro and SuperGrok included it. The Grok Bot team has also reset everyone's weekly usage for free a few times, most recently on October 2. Check the makers' pages before you pay.

How does that compare?

Grok Bot's cheapest plan costs $20 a month, the same as Muse's Power plan. Muse also has a free plan, and it lists weekly token amounts for its paid plans. See Muse's plans. An OpenAI dot comes with ChatGPT Pro, from $100 a month. See what a dot costs.
