Where is Meta Muse available?

What does Meta say?

Meta says Muse is for people in the US and Canada who are 18 and over. It says it is working on more countries, takes care with each one, and has no timing to share. Canada came on September 18, 2026. That day Meta posted “Where to next?” on X and named no country.

The rule covers every way in: the phone apps, the Mac app, muse.ai and WhatsApp. On October 7 we checked Apple's App Store. Of the stores we checked, the Muse app shows only in the US and Canada. It doesn't show in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, India, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico or Brazil. We found no Meta waitlist or sign-up for other countries.

Outside the US and Canada, some sites say the app shows “Muse isn't available in your country or region yet.” We haven't seen that screen ourselves.

Is there a UK release date?

No. Meta hasn't given one, and no Meta page names the UK. The older Meta AI chatbot reached the UK in October 2024, about a year after it came out in the US. In 2024, Meta held back Meta AI in the UK to deal with requests from the UK's privacy regulator.

Is Muse coming to Europe?

Meta has given no date for the EU or any European country. It hasn't said why. Its track record gives a clue. In 2024, Meta paused Meta AI in Europe after Ireland's privacy regulator asked it to delay training its AI on Europeans' posts. Meta AI reached 41 European countries in March 2025, about 18 months after its US launch.

An agent like Muse also has to meet the EU's privacy rules, its AI Act and its rules for big tech platforms. In 2025, Meta refused to sign an EU code of practice for AI models. We think rules like these slow Muse down, but Meta hasn't said so.

Why isn't Muse in India?

Meta hasn't said why or when. India's tech site MediaNama asked Meta India about plans and where Indian data would live. Its post showed no reply from Meta on the day we checked. Meta AI reached everyone in India in June 2024, in English.

What about Australia?

Meta has given no Australia date. Meta AI has been there since April 2024. One automated reply from Meta's AI account on Threads says Australia comes in the coming weeks. Another says Meta has given no timeline. Both read like bot answers, so we don't count either as Meta's word.

Isn't Meta AI the same thing?

No. Meta AI is the chatbot inside WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger. You ask it a question and it answers. Muse is an agent with its own app, called Muse from Meta. It has its own cloud computer, uses apps you connect, and keeps working after you close it. Having Meta AI in your WhatsApp doesn't mean you have Muse. See what Muse does.

Can you use a VPN?

We don't advise it, for four reasons:

• To pay for Muse, Meta says you must be in a country where it works. Paying from outside those countries through a VPN breaks that rule.
• Meta's terms let it suspend Muse and the Meta accounts tied to it.
• Meta built much of Muse for the US. Phone calls go only to US businesses, and reports say shopping works only for US users.
• In every non-US, non-Canada store we checked, the iPhone app isn't there. Apple bills by your Apple account's country.

What can you use instead?

Meta AI, the free chatbot in WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook, works in the UK, the EU, India and Australia. It answers questions, but it doesn't do tasks for you like Muse. For an agent, OpenAI's dots already work in all four, on some plans.

• India and Australia: dots come with ChatGPT Pro, from $100 a month.
• UK, EU and Switzerland: Pro doesn't include dots there yet. ChatGPT Business with a Premium seat does. Business needs at least two seats. For one person, the cheapest way in is one Premium and one Standard seat: $150 a month, or $120 a month paid yearly.
