Where can you get ChatGPT dots?

Are ChatGPT dots in the UK?

Not on Pro yet. OpenAI left the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland out of Pro dots at launch. In the UK, you get a dot with ChatGPT Business and a Premium seat, or on Enterprise.

Business needs at least two seats. For one person, the cheapest listed way in is one Premium seat and one Standard seat. That costs $150 a month, or $120 a month paid yearly. OpenAI lists a dot only for the Premium seat. Its prices are in US dollars, so your local price and tax may differ.

Are dots in Europe?

Not on Pro in the EEA or Switzerland yet, and OpenAI hasn't given a date. The EEA is the 27 EU countries plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. There, you get a dot with Business Premium or Enterprise.

OpenAI's Sam Altman told NBC News the EU's process takes longer, and sometimes no one can tell how long. He said OpenAI wants to ship to Europeans. He gave no date.

Can Plus users get dots?

No. OpenAI's pricing page lists dots for Pro. Free, Go and Plus don't include them. OpenAI says it plans to bring dots to more users soon, but it hasn't named a plan or a date.

Pro comes in three sizes: $100, $200 or $500 a month. All three include a dot. You pay for Pro by the month. Your first dot comes with the plan at no extra cost.

Dots not available for you?

Check these in order:

• Your plan. You need Pro, a Business Premium seat, or an Enterprise, Edu or Healthcare workspace.
• Your country. Pro doesn't include dots in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland yet.
• Your age. You must be 18 or older. ChatGPT can guess an adult is a teen. If so, verify your age in Settings, then Account, then Age. ChatGPT may hide dots in teen mode. One user says their dot showed up after they verified.
• Your workspace. If you have a Premium seat, check that you are in your Business workspace, not your personal one.
• Your device. Set up your dot on a computer, in the ChatGPT app or a browser. Open chatgpt.com/dots. You can't create a dot on your phone or on a phone browser. After setup, you can message it from the ChatGPT phone app once it has the update.
• Time. OpenAI says you may wait several days for access.
• Your admin. On Enterprise, Edu or Healthcare, dots are off until an admin turns on Use dots (Beta).

Can you use a VPN?

We don't advise it. OpenAI hasn't said what it does about VPN use from the UK or Europe, or how it checks where a Pro user is. It warns that it may block or suspend accounts that use ChatGPT from outside its supported countries. In the UK and Europe, OpenAI offers dots on Business Premium and Enterprise.

What does a dot cost?

• Pro: $100, $200 or $500 a month.
• Business Premium seat: $125 a month, or $100 a month paid yearly. Business needs at least two seats.

Chats with your dot don't count toward your ChatGPT limits. Codex and Work tasks it starts do. See what a dot is and does.

What about Meta Muse?

Meta's Muse has a free plan, but it works only in the US and Canada. See where Muse works, or compare dots and Muse.
